36 Days of Type
36 days. 26 letters. 10 numbers. One wonderful distraction from the COVID-19 quarantine—twice over.
The first set was made to follow a strict set of shape rules and a color palette, with a primary focus was on finding fun and creative ways to make the shapes play together. Subliminal silliness ensues: Pac-Man nomming fruit slices, magic mushrooms, dipped Doritos—what fun vignettes do you see in this type?
The second was purely line-driven, seeking to craft letter and number forms from a single, winding path. Made for the 2020 and 2021 installments of 36 Days of Type.
