Hand-lettered illustration to honor the rescue volunteers of the Oso mudslide. Although originally drawn merely as a tribute, this mark took on a life of its own via social media, evolving into a Booster tee campaign that raised $2300 to benefit mudslide victims. The illustration culminated in the production of three hand-painted prints auctioned off to raise funds for the relief of Mark Lambert, a victim who lost everything in the mudslide. The knowledge that this impromptu project has had an impact, no matter how small, has made it one of my most rewarding endeavors to date. Acrylic paint and ink on linen paper.
